I'm trying to decrypt an IPA in order to modify it and sideload it (just for some personal QoL improvements). I own the app on the app store, and have been able to get the encrypted IPA from ipatool, but I'm not sure how to decrypt it.

From what I can tell, all decryption tools require a jailbroken iOS device, which I do not have. Is there any way to decrypt from an M1 mac instead, given that M1 macs can run many iOS apps?

I don't think so right now but I haven't checked lately. There were some Apple Silicon (M1) decryption tools on GitHub when Apple Silicon first came out, but I think Apple has broken them since.

There may be new ones now if you search. Let me know if you find anything working too as I'm interested!

In the meantime, I recommend you get your app via the Decrypted App Store if it's free.
