    i've been playing this game for awhile and one of the things I wanted to try unlocking was the plants that you can only get through purchasing. everything that can be purchased says it's $100 but the Free In-App Purchases gives a error. Is there a way to get it to work?

    No, IAP crackers do not support this game. But there is a hack here on iOSGods that includes Gems & Coins hack. :)
