8.3 and when i restore isnt that gonna update it

do you have it backup? if you do install cydia impactor, if that doesn't solve that it's your signal

connect it to itunes, back it up then install cydia impactor to unjailbreak and try again, if that doesn't work it's your signal

usually the open nodename nor servname provided, or not known is fixed by going to your iphone settings-> reset -> network settings. i recommend that you try that again and then see if you're able to connect to your wifi. if not then it's most likely your router connected to your modem. try resetting your modem, if reseting your router (hit power button wait for 5mins then power it up again) if this doesn't work as well then well... you sir are screwed

no it won't. what wani_boss implied was that he:

1. back up his info onto itunes first (do not restore that will delete everything and you'll end up with the latest ios firmware which may/may not be jailbroken.

2. go to cydia then install cydia impactor (which i have no idea how you're going to do that since you're unable to even connect to the internet atm)

- using cydia impactor will reset the settings back to factory before you jailbroke your phone with that same current firmware that you're using, so it's like restoring your phone back to what it was with the same ios firmware.

I fixed my wifi but now it says no service and I do have service I also do reset network settings and reset all settings and it still didn't work

your phone shows that it does not have service but you have service? are you saying that:

1. your phone doesn't show the icon bar for service but you're able to make calls?

2. your phone doesn't show the icon bar for service and you cannot make calls but you know for sure that you have service from the phone company?

- if it's #1 then, when did this all happened? was it right after you jailbroke?

- if it's #2 then, were you able to get service and make calls before you jailbroke your phone? AND if not even before you jailbroke your phone are you have you tested other area locations to see if it's the antenna issue? in my area my cousin isn't able to get T-Mobile bars signal but if he goes out to other areas outside my place he starts getting signals.

anyways onto the point, now that you're able to get internet, head over to cydia and search cydia impactor from big boss source or just search it in general. on the top right it should say ' modify ' rather install, and then click reinstall or install after clicking modify. after that head over to your home screen and find that cydia impactor (there will be instructions of what to do so read it carefully before you start running the cydia impactor (which is after you click on the cydia impactor icon, so don't worry) )

ps: make sure you backup whatever you need to back up, you can either use a backup 3rd party like ifile, funbox, itools, etc for backing up apps/photos/music/video etc.

hope this help! you should be able to get the signal icon bars back (that is if you have signal in general) frmo cydia impactor, then rejailbreak and voila!
