Okay when using the program IDA, does the app you wanna hack needs to be cracked then extract the binary file or do I crack the binary file. Or I can just use binary straight out of any regular app u want to hack?

 

If it needs to be cracked then I just wasted 30min trying to hack a basic game

well, use clutch or rastaitic and extract the binary file from it and load it to IDA

Use Clutch, the binary needs to be cracked for it to load up properly in IDA. If the game isn't sub_x you can hack it with Flex, and not even worry about IDA.

Some games are not sub_x and not hack able with Flex and some games are hack able with Flex but sub_x in IDA

Yeah I tried using the binary without cracking the app.... lol but how do I know if it's sub_x is it when the functions have weird gibberish names lol?

It needs to be cracked. If it's not, the binary will be encrypted. You can't modify an encrypted binary
