iGameGod includes several built-in Unity & IL2CPP tools for researching supported Unity apps directly from your iPhone or iPad.

These tools allow you to search recognized IL2CPP methods, export decrypted global-metadata.dat, generate a runtime dump.cs file, and inspect method parameter information entirely on-device.

The tools are available through both iGameGod and iGameGod Jailed, meaning they can be used on supported jailbroken and non-jailbroken devices.

What Are the Unity & IL2CPP Tools?

Unity games built using IL2CPP contain information about their classes, methods, fields and parameters inside files such as global-metadata.dat and the app's executable libraries.

Some apps protect or modify their metadata files, which can cause tools such as Il2CppDumper to fail when working with the files extracted directly from the IPA.

iGameGod can access supported IL2CPP information after the app has loaded it into memory. This may allow iGameGod to export usable metadata or generate method information even when the original files contain encryption or other protections.

Compatibility varies depending on the Unity version, IL2CPP version and protections used by the app.

Which Tool Should I Use?

Use Decrypted Metadata Dump when you want to export global-metadata.dat and process it using an external tool such as Il2CppDumper.

Use Runtime dump.cs when you want iGameGod to generate a source-style class and method dump directly from the running app.

Use Method Search when you only need to find a particular class, method or function without generating a complete dump.

Use Method Parameter Information when you want to inspect the available parameters and additional details for a selected method.

How to Access the Unity & IL2CPP Tools

Launch the supported Unity app containing iGameGod.
Tap the floating iGameGod icon.
Open iGDisassembler.
Open the available Unity or IL2CPP tools.
Choose Method Search, Decrypted Metadata Dump, Runtime dump.cs or another available option.

The available options may vary depending on whether iGameGod detects a supported Unity IL2CPP app.

Dumping Decrypted global-metadata.dat

The metadata dumper exports global-metadata.dat from the running app instead of relying only on the copy stored inside the IPA.

This can be useful when the original metadata file is encrypted, obfuscated or otherwise rejected by traditional IL2CPP dumping tools.

Launch the target Unity app with iGameGod enabled.
Open the iGameGod tool menu.
Open iGDisassembler and select the option to dump decrypted metadata.
Wait for iGameGod to complete the export.
Save or share the resulting global-metadata.dat file.
Use the exported file with your preferred IL2CPP dumping or research tool.

Once exported, you can process the metadata using tools such as:
- Il2CppDumper
- Other supported Unity and IL2CPP research tools

Depending on the external tool, the results may include files such as dump.cs, script.json and other method or address information.

Generating a Runtime dump.cs

iGameGod can also generate an IL2CPP source-style dump.cs directly from the running app.

This provides a faster option when you mainly need to browse classes, methods, fields and available method information without separately processing the metadata file on a computer.

Open the supported Unity app with iGameGod enabled.
Open iGDisassembler from the iGameGod tool menu.
Select the option to generate a runtime dump.cs.
Wait for iGameGod to finish generating the file.
Save or share the generated dump.cs.

The generated file can then be opened in a text editor or transferred to a computer for additional research.

Searching IL2CPP Methods

Method Search allows you to find recognized Unity classes, methods and function names directly inside iGameGod.

This is useful when you already know part of the class or method name and do not want to browse through an entire dump.cs file.

Open iGDisassembler inside the target Unity app.
Open IL2CPP Method Search.
Enter the class, method or function name you want to find.
Select a result to view the available method information.
Open the related function in iGDisassembler when available.

Recognized IL2CPP names can also appear next to supported functions and branch instructions, making code navigation easier.

Method Parameters & Debugging

iGameGod can display additional information about supported IL2CPP methods and their parameters.

This can help when reviewing a method before opening it in iGDisassembler, setting a Breakpoint or tracing it through iGDebugger.

Recognized IL2CPP method names can also appear inside Watchpoint stack traces, making it easier to understand which Unity functions read or change a memory value.

Jailbroken Device Instructions

To use the Unity and IL2CPP tools on a jailbroken device:

Install or update to the latest version of iGameGod from the official iOSGods Repo.
Enable iGameGod for the Unity app you want to research.
Launch the target app and open the iGameGod tool menu.
Open iGDisassembler and choose the Unity or IL2CPP tool you want to use.

For metadata exports, iGameGod may also save the resulting file inside:

/var/mobile/Documents/UnityGlobalMetadata/

The share sheet can be used to save the file to the Files app, AirDrop it to a Mac or transfer it using another available method.

Non-Jailbroken Device Instructions

These Unity and IL2CPP tools can also be used through iGameGod Jailed on supported non-jailbroken devices.

Obtain a properly decrypted IPA of the target Unity app.
Add iGameGod to the IPA using Sideloadly, iOSGods App+ or another supported installation option.
Install and launch the modified app.
Open iGDisassembler from the iGameGod tool menu.
Choose Method Search, Decrypted Metadata Dump, Runtime dump.cs or another available option.

On non-jailbroken devices, exported files may be saved inside the target app's Documents folder or presented through the iOS share sheet.

Troubleshooting

The Unity or IL2CPP Options Do Not Appear

- Make sure the app contains the latest version of iGameGod.
- Confirm that the app is a supported Unity IL2CPP app.
- Make sure you opened iGDisassembler from inside the running app.
- Some Unity apps use Mono instead of IL2CPP and will not provide the same tools or results.

The Metadata or dump.cs Is Empty or Incomplete

- Allow the app to finish loading before starting the dump.
- Open the part of the app or game you want to research before trying again.
- Restart the app and repeat the export.
- Some protections or unsupported Unity versions may prevent a complete dump.

External Il2CppDumper Still Fails

- Confirm that you are using the metadata exported by iGameGod rather than the original file from the IPA.
- Make sure you are also using the correct executable or UnityFramework binary from the same app version.
- Verify that the metadata and binary belong to the same app build.
- Try generating the runtime dump.cs directly through iGameGod instead.

I Cannot Find the Exported File

- Check the iOS share sheet after the dump completes.
- On a jailbroken device, check /var/mobile/Documents/UnityGlobalMetadata/.
- On a non-jailbroken device, check the target app's Documents folder.
- Use the iGameGod File Browser or the iOS Files app when available.
