On the subject of hacking in-app purchases, I'm well aware of the various tweaks/hacks that are out there that exploit IAPs or generate fake receipts that allow you to purchase items without actually spending anything and the caveat that, based on what I can see, only work on games with non-server-based purchases/those with little scrutiny on their IAP tracking. However, what I'd like some discussion on concerns the subscription-based IAPs that are usually immune to these tweaks.

When you go to certain tweaks that exploit subscription-based IAPs, they often exploit the date at which the subscription ends, either to before Unix time or a date well into the future. Now granted these examples are from tweaks that focus on VPN hacks, I'm wondering if the same principle could be applied to games and other applications as well through the use of  cheat engines (iGameGod, H5GG, Flex, etc.) to change their subscription date or if it is a more complicated procedure than that.
