This is purely from my own testing. Do note the multipliers will not work if your team battle power is significantly lower than the recommended. For instance, a battle power of 8000 will do no damage in a stage with recommended power of 11000. It'll work as intended by consistently leveling up your units and equipment.

And just like Pokemon, type advantage is very important in this game, if you want to deal damage to higher level enemies 🙂
