Hi,

Is there a tutorial / does anyone have a step-by-step on how to make a currency freeze hack in Unity games?

Hey!

I don't think there is a specific currency freeze tutorial, however, if you learn the basics of Unity hacking, currency freezing is usually a simple RET on functions like SpendResource, get_price, etc.

gotcha, thank you! another question, even when i turn off the iapcracker and localiap store, whenever i go to buy something in the store, the game crashes. I thought if i turned it off it id be able to buy, no?

Is your IPA sideloaded or modified in any way?

Perhaps you need to completely uninstall the tweaks.

yeah I might have to uninstall. Or I can try to turn off Substitute. But if i do that, if i'm able to do a currency freeze hack, it won't work if i turn off Substitute

SpendResource is the last one I used which worked.

I’m not sure if I understand freeze currencies, what is the benefits of freeze currencies what exactly is being frozen, like for Instance the hack for increase currency instead of decrease, adds money to the In Game account whenever you spend but what does freeze currency do??? I’m not seeing the effects? Kinda lost any help would be appreciated.

There are a few ways to do this:

- Offset Patching/Hooking

- Editing the value from memory

You would need to find the correct memory address or the correct offset value for the currency to modify it and or freeze its current amount.

You can use the IGG tool for memory searching and the IGG menu for offset patching (Jailbreak only I believe. I also somewhat forgot the name of the menu... Maybe @Rook can correct me!)

Both can be easy or not done at all due to the way the developers of the game is protecting and or uses the values in a way. It is also not at all possible if done from the server like how LDOE stuff is done. If it is done within a server then your chances of modifying that value are <1% and is more trouble than its worth.
