    No. That's why I said that you can just edit the plist to make it think you are using the newer version. You can still play the older content with it.

    i set it to 1.6.1 but it still ask me to update the app

    In info.plist? Setting CFBundleInfoDictionaryVersion to 1.6.1 allows me to play with it. I completed today's daily using the mod because I died the first time I tried it. 

     

    The full thing I did was use his non jailbreak mod for this. I changed CFBundleName to "stores" because I wasn't sure if I needed to change to have it install along side the original app. 

    I also changed CFBundleDisplayName to NieR2. That's it. With those changes I can play his NieR non jailbreak mod. 

    Edit Oopsie: Forgot that I also changed CFBundleIdentifier. I changed the end to NierSPwws. I don't know if it was needed and I'm not going to test to see if it isn't. 

     

    I also just learned that you can do at least some of the new missions with the old IPA. I just did chapter 11 hard with it. The game froze on me earlier when I used a summon on the new banner so don't try that. Also don't try using new characters I guess. 

    Edit: It seems like all quest and new character data downloads just fine and is usable in the old version. I have the new Fio in my party and have done her event with the monsters that have birthday hats on. So I'm not sure why the game froze on my earlier while I pulled from the new banner. I won't be trying that again though. 

    Another edit: Can't turn off pet mod after you turn it on either. Have to close the game if you want to turn it off. 

     

    And I have no idea if this can make them ban you easier, so use this method at your own risk.

    For people struggling to understand how to change the app name of his non jailbreak version, here you go. All credits to m0hammed for making the mod. Hopefully I'm not breaking a rule by posting an IPA myself. All I did to it was what I described above. Do it yourself if you don't trust installing the one I'm sharing. Install this like normal and it will be called NieR2. Again, I'm not sure if playing on an older version will lead to ban or not, but I've done this with some other games without issue.

        STEP 2: Download the pre-hacked .IPA file from the link above to your computer. To download from the iOSGods App, see this tutorial topic.
        STEP 3: Download Sideloadly and install it on your PC.
        STEP 4: Open/Run Sideloadly on your computer, connect your iOS Device, and wait until your device name shows up.

        📖 iOS Installation Instructions

        STEP 2: Once the file has downloaded, tap on it and then you will be prompted on whether you want to open the deb with iGameGod or copy it to Filza.

        📖 PC Installation Instructions

        STEP 1: Download the pre-hacked .IPA file from the link above to your computer. To download from the iOSGods App, see our iOSGods App IPA Download Tutorial which includes a video example.
        STEP 2: Download Sideloadly and install it on your Windows or Mac.
        STEP 3: Open Sideloadly on your computer, connect your iOS device, and wait until your device name appears in Sideloadly.
        STEP 4: Once your iDevice is recognized, drag the modded .IPA file you downloaded and drop it into the Sideloadly application.
        STEP 5: Enter your Apple Account email, then press “Start.” You’ll then be asked to enter your password. Go ahead and provide the required information.
        STEP 6: Wait for Sideloadly to finish sideloading/installing the hacked IPA. If there are issues during installation, please read the note below.
        STEP 7: Once the installation is complete and you see the app on your Home Screen, you will need to go to Settings -> General -> Profiles / VPN & Device Management. Once there, tap on the email you entered from step 6, and then tap on 'Trust [email protected]'.
        STEP 8: Now go to your Home Screen and open the newly installed app and everything should work fine. You may need to follow further per app instructions inside the hack's popup in-game.

        NOTE: iOS/iPadOS 16 and later, you must enable Developer Mode. For free Apple Developer accounts, you will need to repeat this process every 7 days.         📖 iOS Installation Instructions

        STEP 1: Download the .deb hack file from the link above. Use Safari, Google Chrome or other iOS browsers to download.
        STEP 2: Once the file has downloaded, tap on it and then you will be prompted on whether you want to open the deb with iGameGod or copy it to Filza.
        STEP 3: If needed, tap on the downloaded file again, then select ‘Normal Install’ from the options on your screen.
        STEP 4: Let iGameGod/Filza finish the cheat installation. If it doesn’t install successfully, see the note below.

        STEP 4: Open/Run Sideloadly on your computer, connect your iOS Device, and wait until your device name shows up.

        STEP 6: You will now have to enter your iTunes/Apple ID email login, press "Start" & then you will be asked to enter your password. Go ahead and enter the required information.
