I have now done what you said and have duplicated the apps that also appeared in the settings as you said.  However, the problem is that I am not get a notification despite having activated it in the app settings.  I've tried other apps and still no notification is sent to me.  What did I do wrong where is the

It could be perhaps the bundle ID change, unsure. 

If you're Jailbroken, try the Normal Install instead of Sideload.

Alternatively, you can perhaps use a Cydia tweak that is specifically meant for app duplications.
