If you are wanting to save hair colors and lip colors permanently you can  

If you go to my recent tutorial (the one I posted tonight) on how to save items permanently you can save any hair dyes/lip colors that you don't own but unfortunately I can't say the same for dyes (It might be impossible to save dyes permanently since you have to trick the game into thinking you own them all)

Does anyone know how to modify the level you are in the game? I tried using the cheat engine but I can never find the correct value to modify. I restarted from scratch recently and I really don't want to spend all that time leveling up my doll again.

Tip ~ when you start over you have 0 xp to start with in the beginning of the game 

When you get to more than 10 xp start searching for your xp value and then search until you get down to 6 results

then you can modify it to a really high number (8bill) is max level
