Still broken in latest update. On relaunch of the game now I'm also getting a "There is a new update available" takes me to the app store, unable to launch and load into the game.

 

Edit: Sorry, for some reason, it looks like it loaded a June 21 copy still, uninstalled again and reinstalled, and it looks to be fixed; the original Magizoologist issues are still persistent, however.

Try playing the regular game on an unmodded version to get past the point it’s crashing and then try the hacked version again

I've noticed that it almost always crashes on a level-up. I have to switch back to the regular game, get past the level-up, then continue on the modded version, and it's fine.

Yep, I’ve noticed if I’m in the middle of an class or something and it tries to level up one of my clubs it can cause that issue. I’ll finish the class on my regular game to get past that. Overall this is still my favorite modded game on here. The energy alone is a helpful
