Did you just tap the link or hold it? Tapping it will more than likely have an option to open with iFile.

This is an issue I've encountered countless of times. All it takes is a little time and patience. Just try and re-download it. Hold the file, see if you can choose to download it. If not, then download to dropbox, and after that try tap+hold and see if you can open/download.

Really, in my opinion, there's no "right" answer to this unless someone comes up with a tweak to fix it. It's more a matter of luck on this one.

when i tap it a new windows open and there it says "open in app" no other option

and when i tap and hold the "open in app" a new window open and says

1)open in new tab

2)share

3)cpy address

4)copy text

Removing dropbox app will probably open the link to safari for a download button on dropbox. Then by tapping the download button to get open with iFile.

When you tap the link you will be redirected to dropbox webiste which has an option to 'Open in app'. Don't tap the button. At the top right, there's a button option [a download sign] tap it & you will have an option 'Direct Download'. Tap it & wait for a minute, it will have an option to 'Open in iFile'.

iFile option doesn't appear on most parts of the filesystem.
