That is because there is a set of values in the treasure chest that can modify the number of diamonds obtained. The position is below the gold coins obtained. You can use daily tasks to obtain diamonds and then modify the diamonds in the treasure chest, so that you can open the treasure chest at zero cost.

So in order for me to obtain the diamondS from the chest, I already need to have enough legitimate diamonds to buy a chest 

Update: I just noticed about the daily reward, I can change that amount as well?

I’ve had about 5 guest accounts banned haha. I’d say only do on a guest account and don’t be greedy. You get tap happy then boom 666 message your banned!
