TuT [Tutorial] How to backup Cydia tweaks so you don't lose them when updating iOS.

Saw this in the help section, figured i'd post the tutorial I found.

Follow the steps provided below :

Step 1 : Find and Launch Cydia in your device.

Step 2 : Go to Search Tab and search ” PkgBackup “.

Note : It costs $9.99 in official BigBoss Repo but you can get it for free by adding another cracked repos and install from them.

Step 3 : After you find PkgBackup, install it and restart your springboard.

Step 4 : Now go to your homescreen and find PkgBackup icon and launch it.

Step 5 : In PkgBackup Settings, choose the source where you want to save your backup file.

Step 6 : After you selected the place where you want to save backup file, Tap on Quick Backup Button.

Step 7 : Then tap on Orange Backup Button next to Details and an estimated backup size will show just above the buttons.

Step 8 : Tap on Yes Button, Enter the backup Description and Title when requested. Choose a title easy to remember so you will find it quickly when you need it.

Step 9 : After choosing the name, the backup will begin and will save all your jailbreak tweaks, sources and apps in a short amount of time.

How to Restore Cydia Tweaks & Apps

So, after you finished backing up your tweaks and apps, re-jailbreaked your device, now its time to restore all your tweaks and apps and restore your device to its previous state.

To do that, we are going to use the same tweak we used to backup, called ” PkgBackup “.

Step 1 : Launch ” PkgBackup ” and tap Restore Button.

Step 2 : The name of backup file you created previously, will be displayed near the Orange Restore Button.

Note : If you want to restore just a specific app, write its name and you can select it from the list.

Step 3 : After you select your backup file, hit the Orange Restore Button.

Step 4 : A confirmation message will popup. Just tap Yes to confirm your action.

Step 5 : The Restore process will now begin and after it is completed, tap on Reboot Button to restart your device.
