BlueStacks is an Android Emulator for PC. Since there is a hack for Android, you can use BlueStacks to hack your Family Guy account and it'll sync on your iPhone.

Why does it fail? Do you get an error? Can you elaborate?

I downloaded the apk and saved it to my documents. I right click and tell it to open with Bluestacks, a small window pops up and says Bluestacks APK handler : Installing APK.. Then the window disappears. But when I go to my Apps Library, the old apk is the only one there.

 

Now when I attempt to run the game, on startup, it says please upgrade, and that I must upgrade to continue.

I was able to uninstall the original hacked apk, then successfully download 1.0.8 and install. But when I attempt to load the game, it still pops up and says that I must upgrade to continue.
