Help/Support How do I find the correct path of a game to make a deb file for a hack?

Hi guys, I’m currently in the works of making a deb file for a game I’ve been hacking for years.

now every device or every installation of the game has a different folder name.

how can I point a deb to install these files in the correct path for installation? I’ve got past experience from making a deb file in the past but all I did was copy and edit someone else’s .deb file.

If you are talking about the Data directory, then only package the save you want and make a Save Game cheat . If you are editing the Bundle files then you need to make an ipa file and put it in Non-JB. The way this would be possible with a deb is to make a shell script that would look for the directory by checking the unique files inside the game. And that script would be run on installation since you can specify that in the control file. Cheers and good luck!

How can I replace this file in this directory /var/mobile/Containers/Data/Application/940B8E06-2AE7-42A8-87D3-B820EDC4CE87/Documents/packages/insertzipfilehere.zip

notice the 940B8E06-2AE7-42A8-87D3-B820EDC4CE87 will be different on every phone, how do I make sure I bypass that? I’ve done it before but it’s been a while.

EDIT: Found a CRC Manipulator for the patched zip files that contain the files for me to edit, it's CRC server sided so any modded slot games that are tampered with changes the checksum and replaces it with the original zip so that is sorted, just need to make a deb file to  copy the modified zip file to this directory:
/var/mobile/Containers/Data/Application/940B8E06-2AE7-42A8-87D3-B820EDC4CE87/Documents/packages/insertzipfilehere.zip

I would suggest you make a Tweak with theos (if you don’t have it installed, I can build it for you  ) that would have this code in Tweak.xm

I don't have theos installed currently, if you can build one for me that will help me so much. make sure you credit yourself in the description, i will attach the zip file also and give you the exact path it needs to go, it needs to replace the original zip file.
