Help/Support Is there any way to hide a hack from the game developers when they have flagged your device?

Hi everyone,

I've been playing Kim Kardashian Hollywood with the unlimited resources hack (I know, sucky game choice for most people). I've had the hack installed since November 2014. I didnt go out and purchase all of the in game items available immediately, just drip fed one or two items a day since November.

The developers are Glu Mobile. They release a big update roughly once a month, and weekend events with one or two storylines. Using the hack, I was able to level up quite quickly, so the weekend events would keep me entertained until the next big update.

This weekend, however, was a little different. Being 4th of July in the US, the event was appropriately themed towards that celebration - but I didn't get it. Rather than submit a ticket to Glu, I went onto their forums and saw a bunch of other people reporting the same issue. I decided to wait and see what happened.

Well, I'm glad I did. Glu sent an email to one of the members which she posted. The breakdown was that if you had the most recent version of the game (v3.1.1, which I did), the event would appear. BUT - if you had it and it didn't appear, it was because your game had been flagged as possibly hacked. (Smart move on Glu's part, because almost everyone who did submit a ticket has just dobbed themselves in). The exact wording was:

We have implemented a new automatic detecting system in the game that allows us to flag potential cheaters/hackers. Our system has detected unusual activities resulting in high balances of credits acquired using an unauthorized cheat, tool or exploit in our game, or you have used a save file shared from others to exploit the game. Your account has been flagged for abuse and as a result, your device was ineligible to load the new weekend content

For any who submitted and actually had no hack, all they had to do was provide a screenshot of their game and an itemized list of purchases from the iTunes store, and they would remove the flag. For the rest of us, crap.

The game has been working perfectly with the hack for over 6 months, its only been flagged since this weekend. I did intend to wait and see if the upcoming weekend event appears, if it doesnt I may delete the app, wipe all reference of it from my device and re-install with the hack again. Will suck to lose my progress, but I may not have another option.

So I would like to know:

1. Is it is possible to hide the hack from Glu, or avoid the 'automatic detecting system'?

2. Would anyone know if a game ID would be the same upon delete and re-install? If they've flagged my game ID, it may be pointless to delete as any new game would still be flagged

I am using an iPhone 5, iOS 8.4, game version 3.1.1

The hack/cheat was a shared save file replaced in the app by iFunbox.

Ha ha ha, yes, believe it or not!

Yes, it was a save game hack that gave me unlimited funds and unlimited K-Stars (additional in-game currency). I basically had to delete the game from my iPhone, iCloud and Game Centre, re-download it, open the back end of the app through iFunbox and replace the documents file with the save game file. Then open the app, it tells you that there is a copy saved on iCloud, do you want to use it - hit yes and you start the game from the beginning with the full resources.

As I said, its worked fine until last weekend. I know my game has been flagged, I just dont know if its possible to remove the flag and I would have no idea how to get past Glu's new 'auto detection' if I start from scratch.

No, the app is only available on Wifi or 3G/4G (in Australia).

Or I should actually say, the game is only playable if you're connected

Its not so much that its unusable, I can still play the game with unlimited resources. It just means that the weekly events don't appear on my device - I'm yet to see if the monthly update is able to be downloaded, as the next big update isn't due for about 2 weeks.

I'm unsure then. I guess the Save Data is detected or something?

Maybe you can hack your own game if you have Jailbreak?

I don't have Jailbreak - and from what I've read, the events aren't appearing for anyone whose device has got Jailbreak - even if they didn't have the hack. I guess Glu has just assumed that anyone with a Jailbroken phone is cheating, and they will only re-instate the events if you can prove you don't have the hack. Is there no way to hide a Shared Save Data file hack?
