Hey everybody. This is my tutorial on how to fix the Cydown errors. It's really simple and everyone can do it.

Things to fix:

- subprocess post-removal script return error exit status 1 error

- sub-process /usr/libexec/cydia/cydo returned an error code (1) error

- Any other error that has to do with Cydown

Instructions on how to fix these errors:

  • 1. Remove Cydia from your App Switcher/Multitasking list.
    2. Install the previous version of Cydia from your current one using iFile. (ex: I currently have version 1.1.23 of Cydia. I will then have to download version 1.1.22 of Cydia)
    3. Once it has been downloaded, go into Cydia and the sources tab. It doesn't matter if your sources and tweaks are missing.
    4. Add this repo: http://repo.xarold.com
    5. After adding the source, click the button that lets you force delete Cydown. During the process, it will also update Cydia Installer to the latest version.
    6. After everything is finished, you will need to restart the springboard.
    7. After that, go back into Cydia. All your sources and tweaks should be back. Now, you can install the latest version of Cydown from the source without any errors!
    8. If this happens again, just follow the same procedure.
