It works, You just need to read carefully and follow the steps. If your phone isnt jailbroken ( ios 9 above ) there is a link on the post that it is for ios 9+. It worked for me ( 1.5.1 is the current version of the game and IT WORKS ). The downside is you need to do it every 7 days. -
