Would this work the same with game gem?

I'm gonna be completely honest here, I installed the app and followed the super simple instructions... But no dice. My Cydia showed the same price tags as normal as if nothing changed, I even downloaded the app from another repo that I found online, and nothing. I even tried enabling and disabling the options in the app's menu while after closing and then reopening Cydia, and nothing. Either I'm doing something entirely wrong (which I seriously doubt because the instructions couldn't be more clear, obvious and simple) or this app is a joke.
