Hey Guys!
I have a problem with an app called PP Helper. The "Helper" part of the name is in Chinese. You can find this app through apt.weiphone.com through Cydia. My iPad (now an iPad Mini 2) is a jailbroken 8.1.2 version. If you search up PP after you install that source, you should be able to find it as the last thing on the list. Anyways, on to the problem.
I was installing a game called Radiation Island through PP Helper. It's a bit more than 1 GB and I was ~80% done with it after I woke up today. Then, at school, I tried to continue downloading the game through my school's internet, but it failed, and then the 1GB I had downloaded disappeared from the "Download Manager" section of the PP Helper app. Thus, my ~8.5GB of space had become ~7.5GB.
What I have tried so far. (This is after I had gotten home)
- Searched up Radiation Island, it shows me what I assume to be "Continue downloading". I click it, but an error message pops up but I don't understand what it means.
(Then I may have f-ed up a lot doing this but)
- Reinstalled PP Helper, found Radiation Island through the Search menu, tried to download it. It starts downloading, but at 0%. It seems like I have lost the connection with the old location... This may have effed me up.
(Keep in mind I did this after the first thing. So it's irreversible... Whoops...)
What solutions are there?
- Is there a way to go through the file system and manually delete the "Other" data on my iPad? Or is there a place that PP Helper goes to store its downloaded data so that I can just delete it without having to restore my iPad? Like, can iFile be used to delete it? Is anyone familiar enough with PP Helper to know how to do that?
- I can wait for the 8.2 iOS to be released so that I can do a full restore and jailbreak... This will cost me a save game in XCOM: Enemy Within, but for 1GB or more, since I don't know what else I might've failed in doing that caused my "Other" section to rise in usage, I think it might be worth it...
Are there any more solutions you guys can think of? Did I mess up when I reinstalled PP Helper?
I would really prefer the first option, but if no one can find a way to do that, I'll be patient and wait for the second option. Or maybe if there's a third option that doesn't wipe my whole iPad, I'd be grateful for that.
Thank you for your contributions.
