Respawn troops first before using the hack works but sometimes it doesnt, i think this is a game bug, not the hack

I used this trick and it works half of the time, when it doesnt work specialists and units are dead and the enemy chempound is still there, no rewards given this also applies on the the story progress.

How do we go around the unlimited ammo thing? I try and purchase ammo but nothing shows up in battles.
