I haven't tried leveling them by any means other than simply doing it from the level up screen. It may have caught the 'mistake' with the server ping when you started the fight and corrected it, I would suggest +10ing the character you'd like and then going to Allies -> Level Up and doing it from there. Should work no problem for you at that point.

That sucks! I updated from v1.8.1 where everything worked. So something else must be wrong.

Same last time , cannot build but still but Instant Actions active
