I use keychain swapping to play 2 accounts on a device {ipad1, ios 5.1.1}. This issue happened before but I gave up and restarted then but after months of play now, I am hoping to fix it this time. After a recent device issue of acting up it went into recovery mode and I had to use iTunes Restore process to get back into the device. I then rejb'd and transferred the back up keychain from computer back to the device. But now when that keychain is swapped in, the game crashes as it opens and tries to load. Also if I reboot the device, when trying to reconnect to WiFi it keeps stating the password is incorrect (it is right), but in this offline state, when opening the game, it doesn't crash and instead has a pop up that I am offline. Maybe these are related? How can I fix the keychain-2.db file so I can access my game account?

Which game is it? Can you play the game with the unmodified Keychains? (After a restore)

You can also transfer tables inside the database to the newly created keychains-2.db which will only affect the game and not other system parts.

Why are you mentioning me?

You obviously never understood me properly. I know messing with the Keychains is dangerous. I've mentioned this in every topic regarding keychains.

Thank you for your response!

The main account (acc 1) that is in the default restore works, but anytime I swap it with another keychain even a back up of account 1 old keychain, nothing works. It is like the restore process makes ios not understand the back up keychains.

The game is Guardian Cross.

How do I do the table transfer and which tools or portion of the keychain tables do I need to copy to a new one?

thank you

letting people post this kind of tutorial had enough meaning for me.

This is not the place for your rant. Don't go off topic, the person is requesting for help.

And as you can see, moving keychains around has been working for him for quite some time.

Thank you for your response!

I'm guessing the Keychains-2.db is like any other database so you can add rows and copy rows? You'll need to learn some SQL commands to be able to do this though.

Yes I have never had problem with keychain swapping. It is only after restoring does problems ocurr. I can make a new account and swap again now but it seems to work as long as it is not restored, which makes the device treat the keys differently, maybe it thinks it is from another device?

Restoring your iDevice should generate new ID's and tables for the keychains I'm guessing?

Do you also have all the other apps installed from before you restored?

How about an Restoring from an iTunes backup?
