For some reason I can't reply to the other topic, but it looks like this was patched too. As soon as I went back into the challenge, it completed. 

I also didn't have the option to sell, but only fuse. Does this change after a certain number of upgrades?

Worked for me on Kintaros challenge yesterday. Let me try it out right now.

Edit: still works, I didn’t complete all the towers, but skipped all of them and went to the last one for 50 souls. Maybe doing the glitch while the rest of the towers are done won’t work?? I barely do the glitches since I’m good on souls and characters already.
