Hi I keep running into an issue where the game just freezes at chap 3 then doesn't load at all in chapter 4.

Hello. Yeah the bug isn’t because of the save game, it’s cause by the game itself, in Maguim subreddit, people are having the same probelm, some of them said it’s because the cloud save, they also said to fix it turn off cloud save, I haven’t tested the fix.
