git config --global http.sslVerify false

git clone --recursive https://github.com/theos/theos.git $THEOS

git clone https://github.com/theos/sdks $THEOS/sdks

when it says cloning into '/var/theos/sdks'... does that mean it is there

Yes, you likely declared your $THEOS to be in /var/theos.

one more question how to install the template i downloaded it but not sure how to place it with $THEOS/templates/

Place it in /var/theos/templates. :)

That’s what I’m having a problem with I’m using putty and I put that command it gave me an Argument

Using Filza or WinSCP you place it there. Not PuTTY.
