Help/Support Updating App Store App

[saddadluv 13 iPhone 8 12.1]

When I try to update certain apps like the JP version of DBZ DOKKAN BATTLE, I press update and it instantly says " Open " and doesnt update the app. Does anybody know how to fix this?

This is likely because you used a Japanese iTunes account to install the app or you used a cracked version and you're unable to update it unless your login to the Japanese account again. Or wait for the cracked to upload the new version.

yeah the only way i could update is if i log in to my japanese account which i did. i dont have a cracked app.

nope still messing up, i switched over to my JP account and its still doing it .

Have you tried removing the app and re-downloading using your Japanese account?

Also, just so you know, the game was last updated on April 17, 2018, which is 1 Month & 10 Days ago. So are you sure you're not confusing something? Just because Global Dragon Ball Z Dokkan Battle gets updated, does not mean the Japanese one will too. They have different content. Current Japanese version is 3.12.0.

if i delete the app, will my saved progress be there if i redownload the game? also no im 100% sure its JP because when i go into the game it tells me to update then redirects me to the app store to update.

I don’t know. It depends on the game. Just make sure you’ve backed it up before doing anything.
