Hi all.

I'm new here so i wanna start by saying sorry if this isn't the right forum for this, couldn't find one that i was actually sure was the right one..

My issue is removing a tweak that wasn't installed trough Cydia.

I can't really remember how i did install it, but i know for a fact that it wasn't with Cydia.

The thing is that if it was trough Cydia, i would have had no problem removing it trough Cydia, but the only place i see it is in the device settings (See pic).

Anyone knows of a way to remove it?

I don't mind how, as long is it works!

Thanks!

Oh, and also, sorry for my English lol. as you could probably understand from the photo, it is not my first language..  :smirk:

Perhaps try locating the installed tweak, it may be installed (/Library/MobileSubstrate/DynamicLibraries/)

When i had issues with Cydia running out of space and i was looking to install Stashing to help resolve that, this was my only option to remove unwanted tweak/apps. Hopefully it helps.

If you come across your specific tweak, make sure to remove the .dylib and .plist then respring your iDevice.

Thank you.

I tried that. I went in there and the only ones which I thought had anything to do with that are the ones called "SpeedoPtimize"..

I don't know.. Need For Speed.. and optimize and all of that.. hoped that I was right by unfortunately I wasn't :/

Deleting them did not change anything so I'm pretty much out.

Any other ideas?..

I would suggest if you didnt already, to check Cydia installed tweaks/apps just encase it does show up there...

You could also try the Mobile Terminal method to manually uninstall it. Thats if it can be located through this method, you need iFile or Filza and Mobile Terminal from Cydia.

In the iFile/Filza goto (/var/lib/dpkg/) and tap on "status" and open in a text editor/viewer.

Search for your tweak package name, if found remember that package name.

Go into Terminal, you will need to do is type "su root" enter, then "alpine" for your default password (or your current password).

Then type "dpkg -r packagename" <-- The package name you want to remove.

Then respring iDevice.

NOTE: Don't delete files your unsure of, you could brick your iDevice.

I really do appreciate your efforts, but I lost you.

dont really understand all you said, but I think it's not possible anyway..

i opened the file like you said, but I can't find any single thing with any references to need or speed. That's pretty much sums it up doesn it?

Maybe you or anyone else could help me with another thing, that it turn will solve this problem as well.

first time after I jailbroke the device, I downloaded some tweaks like Filza and that need for speed thing from earlier.

since then I have formatted the device several times, but as soon as I jailbreak it again - I automatically get all of those things right back. The Cydia icon appears, and with it all of the other things I had from the first jailbreak.

tried difrrent ways to jailbreak, and it didn't help.

i even opened a new Apple ID for that, I thought that may have something to do with it..

any thoughts?

thanks.

I havent tried this but it could maybe help resolve things. Unless this is what you did, but of course do with your current JB.

Reinstall the cheat then remove it from Cydia.

Thanks again, but I don't see how this could help me.. if a complete device reset didn't work, I can't see how this will. All it does is remove cydia and other stuff which I full device reset does with no problem.

the issue is with returning everything rather then deleting..
