how can i verify a function in gdb?

i was wondering wether "set $r0=$r7" was the correct command to try the differents values or if i could just set $r0= a number

thanks! when i break a functions with gdb

Yeah, I just like to do that cause its quicker. If you want to set it to a number, do this:

 

set $r0=999
