Paragraph or Next Line?

17 members have voted

  1. 1. Should the ENTER/RETURN key on your Keyboard start a new paragraph or go onto the next line on iOSGods?

    • ENTER/RETURN = New Paragraph
      2
    • ENTER/RETURN = Next Line

Hello!

Many of you might not know this but ever since the IPS4 update, the editor on iOSGods has a new feature/behaviour. When pressing ENTER or RETURN on your keyboard, it will automatically start a new paragraph whereas before it would move onto the next line. Next line functionality is still there, however, it is now SHIFT + ENTER in order to achieve it. Next line is useful when writing a feature list or instructions. Example:

SHIFT + ENTER = Next line
- Feature 1
- Feature 2
- Feature 3
- Feature 4

ENTER = New paragraph
- Feature 1

- Feature 2

- Feature 3

- Feature 4

The editor now behaves like most other programs do. One example being Microsoft Word. However, if many users want, we can remove the "enter for paragraph" option and keep just next line with enter/return key. Keep in mind that if you go to the next line twice, you will also start a new paragraph. :p

You noticed now only? LOL well anyways i think this shift + enter will work on keyboard but not on Mobile. I think you should take a look at the plugin store and find a new plugin and replace this editor with that one.

Yes, that's another reason to make SHIFT + ENTER just ENTER.

I think it would be best for mobile user if we have :

SHIFT + ENTER = Next line
- Feature 1
- Feature 2
- Feature 3
- Feature 4

Enter key now goes onto the next line instead of next paragraph. :)

Thanks to everyone for voting and suggesting!

The next line option messes up some posts and quotes look too squishy. Reverting back to how it previously was for now until it gets an improvement. :)
