Help/Support Error compiling tweak: You did not specify a target , and the "" platform does not define a default target.

Im getting this error when I am compiling my tweak: 

*** You did not specify a target, and the "" platform does not define a default target. Stop.

 

I searched this up on google and found this: 

 

If you get this message:

theos/makefiles/common.mk:103: *** You did not specify a target, and the "" platform does not define a default target. Stop.

It probably means you are using a platform unsupported by Theos. If you are using iOS as a platform and on a 64bit device, you are probably getting this error. To fix this, you can do the following:

sudo ln -s $THEOS/makefiles/platform/Darwin-arm{,64}.mk
sudo ln -s $THEOS/makefiles/targets/Darwin-arm{,64}

 

 

I don't really know what that means though. Where do I add those lines^^

Are you using the iOS 8 SDK?

Use the iOS 8.1 SDK, you don't need a dirty hack for it to work with arm64.

theos on github has been updated and darwin-arm64 symlinks have been added but it seems like you don't have them?
 
Follow these instructions:

Go to /var/theos/makefiles/targets/ and rename the "Darwin-arm" folder to "Darwin-arm64"

Next go to /var/theos/makefiles/platform/ and rename "Darwin-arm.mk" to "Darwin-arm64.mk"

Yes I believe I do have iOS 8.1 sdk. Now I am getting this error

That error has to do with the SDK.

 

Make sure you have the iPhoneOS.sdk folder & the iPhoneOS8.1.sdk symlink inside /var/theos/sdks/

 

You can also use the iOS 7.1 SDK.

I wanna try the iOS 7 sdk which one do I download on iphone.howett.net/sdks/

There's a problem with your makefile on line 7. Can you paste it's content here?

I fixed it there were these extra lines of codes. Thanks for all the help.

You should add the following code to the top of your makefiles. Your tweaks will not work without it.

ARCHS = armv7 arm64
TARGET = iphone:clang:8.1

This code will only work if you have ios 8.1 SDK. Don't use ios 7 SDK on ios 8 :thumbsup:
