Yes I did have Battousai's free +2 hack for Devilian working though I uninstalled it to try your +4. Unfortunately none of the options work for me.

He uses the Lipo for the hack which strips the binary that may be the reason it doesn't work. I'd suggest you re-download the game and try again and let me know
