This is confirmed to be working on the latest version of Spotify from posting (6.8.0).

Attempting to use this tweak on a version later than 6.8.0 could result in you having to re-install the

app. I will update this post when I can if it works on versions later than the current one. However

it would work even in versions further than 6.8.0, so do try it.

As long as you have data, you can play songs. However if you do not have data the songs will not load.
