So, about a week ago I had this issue where I was unable to connect to the Internet on my laptop. Me, thinking that this was the best idea, I restored my laptop to factory settings & backed up my work. I redownloaded everything I had & then it started again. My laptop started to just cut out randomly at this time 8pm and wouldn't come back on till at least the morning. I switch the Internet box off and sometimes that does it but not all the time. I just need to know a way on how to fix this... Really pisses me off. I'm having to use my iPhone to type this all out... :(

It might be your internet connection not the laptop.

Works fine on the Xbox One, iPhone etc. Just my laptop it don't work on...

It is possible that you had a faulty driver for your laptop's modem. Maybe the installation process is not finished perfectly. Does everything OK in the device manager? It is my first place to look when I reinstall my laptop.

Well, you should try updating your network drivers to start with. If this doesn't work, go to your manufacturers website, and usually they have a "All-in-one" package where it installs drivers and updates.

If that doesn't work, and none of your solutions work. I know it's a long shot, but try changing your DNS to the google one. I think it is 4.4.8.8 and 8.8.8.8 ( im not sure so google it first )

If that fails. My best would be that your Network card has been damaged, either by fall, preassure, impact or overheating ( which is most common on laptops ) especially if it's an older lappy.

It's annoying. I've just reset the router & it's working again. It'll f**k up again tomorrow which I ain't looking forward to...

What network are you using and did you recently buy it or is it old?

@@Joka

We bought an "upgrade" a few months back. Ever since then, it's been real shitty for my laptop...

I reset the router half an hour ago & it started working. I followed what Najku said & I had to update a few drivers... Including the WiFi driver lmao.
