Everytime I press open, it says sandbox can only be accessed by jailbroken idevice or idevice with ios 8.3 or earlier. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

You're doing it wrong then. What it should say is Open iTunes Sharing File. So you must have not done the info.plist part right so try and see where you might have gone wrong there.
