Help/Support cydia sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)

Hey guys, so im getting this error everytime im installing or removing something from cydia.

cydia sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)

I dont know why, i have done most solutions like

Delete sources

Rename the available to available-bak etc.

And more.

Im running 8.1.2 iPad 3.

How to Solve Cydia Dpkg Was Interrupted error with iFile

Requirement

1) iFile need to be installed.

iFile Procedure

1) To follow up this method, you need to have iFile installed on your i-device. iFile is cydia app which is only available on cydia. If you cydia is broken and you don’t have iFile installed then this process isn’t for you.

(Note:- iFile.deb raw package is available on internet, and there is a way to install it without Cydia also but here I’m not going to discuss how to do that, so make a quick search on google if you want to know, else go with iFunbox procedure bellow.)

2) Launch the iFile application from apps drawer and tap the HOME button from bottom bar.

3) tap the back button from top-left corner to open up “var” folder.

4) now search and open “lib” folder > then “dpkg” folder.

5) From inside the dpkg folder open the “updates” folder and delete everything inside it.

6) now go back to dpkg folder and open up each and every folder one by one and search if there is any file name starting

with “000” (zero) or “1111” , if you found any – delete them immediately.

7) Now close the iFile app.

8) Reboot your i-device. (Don’t go for respring, make a complete reboot)

After the reboot try opening cydia and I hope now it won’t show any DPKG error. If it still showing the same error then probably you have missed any file to deleted that starts with 000. So your next choice will be Complete Restore method.

Thanks for all that, there was nothing in the Updates folder before nor there are any 000 ot 1111 names

Simply re jailbreaking should have fixed it also but glad you fixed it.

I have this with the (2) : sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (2)

Just jailbroke an iphone 5 ios 8.1.2 and when i try to add a repo..(tried several) I get that message..

gonna re-jailbreak...ill let you guys know

To Re-Jailbreak with TaiG simply delete Cydia? Or need a full restore also?

No.. Just download latest version of TaiG and plug in your phone and you should get the Re-Jailbreak option. (At least that's what happens with Pangu )

Make iTunes/iCloud backups before though.

Yeah i thought the same, but that re-jailbreak option isnt there
