Help/Support Volume Down on iPad doesn't work?

I am not sure if this has been happening for a while or not but I just noticed that the volume down button doesn't work exactly. When I click it I don't here that "noise" and it doesn't turn down the volume. I think it has to do with jailbreak.... I am on 8.4

I don't think it's the jailbreak, unless you have a tweak for volume. It may be a device issue.

This is on my iPad. There is no ringer.

This has no correlation with your Jailbreak. Overtime, when you use something for a long time, grease, dirt, and other components enter the cracks of the phone and stall them from working. A common fix is using rubbing alcohol to get the dirt out, but I don't know how. This has happened to me but in my Home button and I am almost positive its from the dirt, etc. 

 

Simple answer: Clean the dirt inside the volume rocker using rubbing alcohol.
