Just activate free store and buy a lot of things you need to fight him...

You can buy the things you need to fight the lizard, but not Doc Ock. Since you can't speed up the training without shards, guess that's not happening.

 

EDIT: After spending the shards to train Black Cat once, the buyable training item appeared in the store (just for Black Cat).

For me, turning off the instant debris removal thing ended the loop.

Sometimes a respring is necessary. Hope this helps.

 

About to try reapplying the hack...for the carnage/Act 2
