I believe it checks the cost of crowns is subtracted when finishing buildings. If the amount of crowns stays the same when finishing a building the network error is triggered. Two possible solutions I see, subtract and add instead of freeze, or functionality to add crowns somehow.. By adding crowns they can be substracted when finishing buildings, adding more when needed... Etc.

it doesnt work like that. You cant just make the same function subtract and then add crowns again. Even if you did that the fact your adding back the amount would alert the server probably. Is not something i can fixed cos the patch was doe without even updating the actual game they did it through the servers. Just be happy with what you have which is still a lot; speed training troops, speed upgrading troops, and frozen resources. you can instant upgrade walls too without getting that network error.

I know right? man enjoy it while it lasts. I believe the first patch was a testing patch, the rest will work the same way on the next update. we are doom. By the way, i saw that throwing error message before though. But we still found another way around to hack it. So hope this can be done too.
