Sup guys, I need y'all's help. My iPad had too little space when this happened, so when the app was downloaded and ready to install, iOS must've deleted some extra junk in my device. Including my American English dictionary and my Apple dictionary. I'm trying to download them back, but the progress wheel doesn't move. I'm downloading British, and that works fine.

If someone would help, I'd really be grateful.

They're apps, right?

Simply try reinstalling them and retry downloading the dictionaries but this time, make sure you have enough space left on your iDevice.

If your storage space is low, iOS will automatically clear app files and caches etc.

I totally agree with DiDA. If your American English dictionary and Apple dictionary are apps on your iPad, you can try to reinstall them, but first, you must make sure that you have enough sapce to install them. You said that you couldn't download them back, but could download British. Whether is  it beacuse of network problem?

If you fear that deleted some extra junk files automatically will cause some data lost, you should back up files and apps on iCloud or iTunes, so that you can restore them quickly and effictively. Besides, if you want to free up sapce on iPad, you can try iMyfone Umate which helped me save tons of space. https://iosgods.com/topic/23911-imyfone-umate-one-click-to-free-up-massive-space-for-ios-devices/

Re-install Chrome?

The thing is, that is not Chrome's dictionary. It's the iPads.

Where are these options for the dictionary?

So I see that you're new to this... You just type a word anywhere. And then you hold on it long until a magnifying glass shows up our just tap twice on the word. And then a bubble of options show up, one of them would be 'Define'. That will show you a definition of the word. On the iPad, that definition bubble has a 'Manage' button, which is to manage the dictionaries your iPad had downloaded.

I see it now. lol

Are you Jailbroken? Try booting into Safe Mode and download there.

Also, run iCleaner.
