Hello! I'm on a iPad Mini 2, iOS 8.4.0, Jailbroken.

My problem is I edit the host file to connect to the CoC server, and when I load up CoC it loads up the original server. Now, is it that CoC server aren't working with this latest version? Do I need to downgrade to an older version? Or just wait for a new server update? Thank you for reading/helping.

Also, make sure to save the hosts file and reboot or respring.

Thx for your help. Couldn't get it to work. Guess I'll just wait for it to update.

Ok well lets try this. Go to /etc then open the file called 'hosts'. It should look something like this:

##
# Host Database
#
# localhost is used to configure the loopback interface
# when the system is booting. Do not change this entry.
##
127.0.0.1       localhost
255.255.255.255 broadcasthost
::1             localhost

Heres what it should look like when you put the server in, this is also the server  I use:

##
# Host Database
#
# localhost is used to configure the loopback interface
# when the system is booting. Do not change this entry.
##
127.0.0.1       localhost
255.255.255.255 broadcasthost
::1             localhost

5.196.242.73 game.clashofclans.com

After this, reboot your iDevice. If it still doesn't work, then they patched something :/

If they are down in general, CoC should be stuck on loading, not kicking you to the main server
