Help/Support Raptor Evolution: Survival bugged

I downloaded Raptor Evolution a few days ago and have not encountered any issues. I have been progressing through the quests and enjoying the game. However, today I reached the ‘Grow Chillies’ quest. I anticipated it would be similar to the others requiring me to cook meat or obtain nails. I adjusted the slider to achieve high numbers but the process was not instantaneous as before. The skip timer is only five minutes but it states it will take 1300 days to grow. There is no option to cancel the timer and it will take a considerable amount of time just skipping 5 mins at a time. I don't want to restart the game as although the free in-app purchases work, they do not allow the purchase of VIP to bypass all advertisements. So it will take another three days to return to my current position. I would appreciate any advice on how to resolve this issue.
