so how do i use the commands https://www.reddit.com/r/jailbreak/comments/2mej25/tutorial_upscale_how_to_fix_the_resolution_after/in this link to fix upscale i dont know how to use putty and i cant get ip from ipad cuz the screen i fudged so i typed in the ip in the computer cuz i think thyre the same but then it says connection refused

i am using a modem

this is make it easier

in your PC open the cmd and type

ipconfig

and see the ipv4 address under Wireless LAN adapter Wireless Network Connection because you're using a modem then the ip address for your iDevice is the same for your PC

but if you have a router?

then see the Default Gateway maybe it's will look like: 192.168.1.1

if a new device connect to the router the router will give it 192.168.1.2

if a second? it's will get 192,168.1.3 .........etc

anyway now you're know the ip address for your iDevice so try to use Putty

it still says connection refused but when i enter the gateway no problem it says login as i type root the says password i try to type but i cant there is nothing i can do after password i even tried numbers doesnt work but i am pretty sure i am using a modem

see in the PC cmd if there any different between the gateway and the ipv4 address

also in Putty make the port 22 if you didn't change it before

and after you connect type

root

if you change alpine write the new password

the ip4 ends with 6 and the gateway ends with 1 and the getway works the ip4 doesnt the ip4 says connection refused the getway works and says login as:i type root then it says password: and i cant type anything but when i right click it says access denied EDIT: nvm now i know why i cant see the password its typed in but it isnt shown like this *** for security reasons but now it still says access denied...mybe cause the getaway for my ipad doesnt end with 1 but but if that is whats the problem how do i know with number it ends ive tried to end it with 1 it works but it says access denied 2 doesnt 3 doesnt 4 doesnt 5doesnt 6 says connection refuesd 7 doesnt work

Then you're using a router anyway the ipv4 address is different between the iOS and the PC because you have a router this all what I want to know are you have a router or not? So for that I ask you about the gateway and the ipv4.

Now to connect to your iDevice using Putty change the last number and try to connect

Example IP address : 192.168.1.1

Try to make it end with 2 or 3 or 4 or 5 or 6 and complete until 255 (i don't think you'll reach )

And about you can connect to the gateway this is because you connect to the router not the iDevice
