The game also errors out after every stage until after you're done the prologue.
God mode, defense and attack all work fine after the prologue as long as your power is sufficient. Has a power check.

Interesting, so remove auto win then

Yeah auto win in PVE always causes errors.
Using damage modifier is only for a quicker battle. If you don't have the required strength to beat the stage it errors out as well. God mode and defense fall under this as well.

at the end of the battle the message "an error has occurred". switched different modes, tried to turn it off and on, nothing helps
