Help/Support Upgrading iPad 1 v5.1.1 can it be used to do more and how far?? in version of ios sense

Hello all,

Asking for a friend (coughs) he recently got an Ipad 1 v5.1.1 64g hand me down really good condition and he (coughs) was wondering if he could get more out of the ipad by "upgrading" or adding a tweak from cydia to make it work well enough for newer versions of games.

i said i would take the ipad and i can only jb it 5.1.1 so far and cant play the games want and im worried about watching movies now lol

It was me not a friend lol 

 

my research suggests that the ipad 1 is dead lol

The iPad one might still be alive but iOS 5.1.1 is dead. Most new everything supports iOS 7>.

 

Plus the iPad's hardware isn't top notch so gaming would be an issue.
