Just came here, to mention in case anyone else has not figured it out yet. 
 

but when you have the loot/reward multi enabled, say x20. Before you go and spend any form of resources or currency, do one of two things. 
 

1- either disable the reward/loot multiplier before doing any kind of spending. 
 

or the better option (imo lol) 

2- set the reward/loot multiplier to a negative number. THEN do spending and watch! Lol… just don’t make it too high negative or else you will go from 10k to 10m in a click or two haha.
