Help/Support Casino game app hack question

I found a hack/exploit for a casino app. Not real money based. It's basically where you go to the root directory and replace files with the one the guy gives you. It's basically coding the game to trigger the random grand and major jackpot on every spin. Well it used to work but now when you replace the files and spin the slot game, the app freezes then crashes. I'm not sure if they added more security or what. Can anybody point me in the right direction on finding out why it's all the sudden crashing the app? Thanks.
