i tried downgrading cydia substrate but it isn't working. that might not be the problem?

Cydia substrate was updated and it seems like it broke some stuff. This happened before because Saurik messed up somewhere again. You just have to wait till he updates the update that he intended to be the real update lol

I feel like anything that Cydia Substrate updates now is intended to work for iOS 9 users and no-one else, lol.

so i spend some of the time i was gone playing with a new interface for in-game mods, and it still works after the update. unfortunately it is an interface only, with no actual binaries to do the any modding. i have let de2ndlaw know that the interface is ready if he has any desire at all to integrate it, but honestly putting it out there might not be a great idea without more testing to make sure it works the way it's supposed to once the binaries are inserted. but just saying that if the missing popup is the only problem after the substrate update- and not the mod functionality itself- then it's an easy fix to make it show up again without having to wait on saurik
